From Knitwear Designer in Hong Kong to my current adventure in the world of Interior Design & Curtain Making.
After completing my studies in Knitwear at University, I embraced a design position in Hong Kong. The city's dynamic pace and vibrant culture offered invaluable learning experiences. A significant milestone during this period was the opportunity to travel to India where I delved into the development of beautifully crafted fabrics, prints, embroideries, and silhouettes.
After a decade in this bustling city, we returned to the UK just as the global pandemic unfolded. We embraced a new chapter in a run-down Victorian House where I discovered an unexpected passion for home renovation and interior design. A sentiment shared by many during the pandemic.
This led to a reassessment of my career path. With a desire to turn my passion for fabrics and interiors into a profession, fortune smiled upon me, and I found a welcoming home at a beloved Interior Design Company in Tunbridge Wells.
Here, I delved into the intricacies of interior design and curtain making. Each project was an opportunity to blend creativity with functionality, crafting spaces that bring great happiness to customers. During this time, I also enrolled at Victoria Hammond, the award winning soft furnishing & design specialist, Curtain & Blind making course.
Inspired, I embarked on starting my own business. With the arrival of our second child, we chose to relocate to the enchanting village of Goudhurst. Buying, once again, a renovation project (an old pub), we carved out space for a design studio bursting with potential.
